Where our information comes from
The business information on this site is compiled from publicly available sources. That includes search engines, AI research tools, and businesses’ own websites and public listings. We gather that material and consolidate it here so that people can find local trades in one place.
We do not verify most of it. Information may be out of date, incomplete, mistaken, or attributed to the wrong business. A business appearing here has not necessarily asked to be listed, and its inclusion is not a recommendation, endorsement, or any statement about its quality, qualifications, insurance, or trading status.
No warranty and no liability
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind. We accept no liability whatsoever for any errors or omissions in the information shown, or for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, anything on this site.
Always satisfy yourself about any business before engaging it, including checking its identity, qualifications, insurance and references directly. Any dealings you have with a business listed here are entirely between you and that business. We are not a party to them and take no responsibility for them.
The site links to and displays information from third-party websites. We have no control over those sites and accept no responsibility for their content, accuracy or availability.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
If your business is listed here
Most businesses on this site have not asked to be listed. They appear because information about them was publicly available and we compiled it. If that is you, this section is for you.
Where a listing is wrong, it is almost always because the public source we drew it from was wrong, out of date, or referred to a different business with a similar name or number. We do not independently verify listings, we make no claim that any listing is accurate, and a listing is neither an endorsement of a business nor a criticism of it.
If your listing is inaccurate, tell us. We will use reasonable endeavours to correct or remove it without undue delay once you have contacted us. There is no charge for this, and you do not need to be a customer or hold an account. This is the remedy we offer, and it is the quickest way to resolve the problem.
Because we do not verify listings, we will not usually know that one is wrong until someone tells us. If you believe your listing is inaccurate, please contact us promptly so that we can put it right.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability to any business for any loss of any kind, including lost business, lost enquiries or reputational harm, arising from an inaccurate, incomplete or outdated listing, from information originating in a third-party source, or from the presence or absence of a listing.
We may ask for reasonable proof that you own or are authorised to act for a business before making changes, so that nobody can alter or remove someone else’s listing maliciously.
Asking to be listed
You can ask us to add a business to the directory. Submitting a request does not guarantee anything. We may accept or decline any request at our discretion, without giving a reason, and we do not warrant that a listing once added will be kept, kept up to date, kept accurate, or displayed in any particular way or position.
By submitting a business you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are entitled to provide it.
Changing or removing a listing
You can ask us to correct or remove a listing. Where a listing is inaccurate, or where the business it refers to asks for it to be removed, we will use reasonable endeavours to act without undue delay. We cannot guarantee a fixed timescale.
Other requests, such as asking to be added, asking for a listing to be changed to something other than a correction, or asking for a particular position or presentation, remain at our discretion.
To protect businesses from malicious changes, we may ask for reasonable proof that you own or are authorised to act for the business in question before we make any change. We may decline to act until we receive it.
This does not affect any right you have to ask for personal data to be corrected or erased under data protection law. See our privacy policy for that.
Misuse of the service
Please use the submission forms reasonably. Excessive, automated, duplicated or abusive submissions, or attempts to manipulate the directory, may result in all listings and submissions associated with you or your business being removed, and in access to the site being blocked.
You must not scrape, copy or republish substantial parts of the site, or use it to send unsolicited marketing to the businesses listed.
Availability of the service
We may change, suspend or withdraw the site, or any part of it, at any time and without notice. We are under no obligation to keep the site, any listing, or any feature available, and we may stop providing the service altogether.
Who can use the site
The site is intended for people aged 18 or over, in the United Kingdom. It is aimed at UK businesses and UK users, and we make no claim that it is appropriate or available for use elsewhere.
Privacy
We handle personal data as described in our privacy and cookies policy, which forms part of these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published here is the one that applies, and continuing to use the site means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
